Switzerland without young people

World

The pyramid of the world’s population has a small base. However, from a general point of view, it presents a deficit for children and young people up to 25 years of age that can reasonably be corrected without huge sacrifices.

The restoration of a compatible and sustainable demographic base for the population between 30 and 90 years of age is, however, practically impossible.

On the other hand, a regular and sustainable pyramid, with a greater base width of the population pyramid, would result in the need to reduce the hopes of delivering a fair income to the entire population group between 0 and 75 years old. Hypothesis evidently impossible and unfeasible.

A median solution could be achieved by broadening the base through a higher birth rate and a reduction in the hope of adequate pension income pay for age groups between 30 and 75. Such a hypothesis would allow the insurance of an old-age annuity for young people between 0 years of age and 30 years of age. Theoretically, this hypothesis would also allow an increase even to those over 75.

Switzerland

For Switzerland, the population pyramid has very strong distortions. Enlargement of the pyramid base would result in a significant increase in female birth and fertility for a prolonged period. Another possibility would be to increase the population of immigrants by properly integrating them into society. Otherwise, without an increase in births and/or immigrants, a large part of the population would risk not having adequate support for their pension income. In fact, more than half of the current population would need additional resources to support future pensions and/or an age-weighted reduction in pension income.
